The Boleyn Bar
|
Sorry to duplicate but I didn't want this beauty to get lost in the main thread and believe it deserves a thread of its own.
"Supporters have always wanted their own bar and so we have created the Boleyn, the greatest ever West Ham bar, just seconds from the pitch. as an existing ST holder you have first option to join.
An exclusive yet informal bar, the Boleyn combines the camaraderie and atmosphere of your favourite pre match pub with the convenience of walking directly out to your halfway line seat.
Designed to tell real fan stories, this is the place for the back seat tacticians, the eternal optimists and the born and breeders to come together to support the club they love."
The Boleyn Bar will be situated in the West Stand with superb seats close to the action either side of the players tunnel. Benefits will include: Exclusive use of West Ham themed bar. Access to every league game plus first three cup games. Free half time drinkes, limited to beer, wine, tea or coffee. Dedicated VIP entrance. Complimentary programme. Fixed price for length of membership. Priority for semi finals and finals.
Joining fee £500 plus vat Plus Monthly fee of £140 plus vat.
These are the first seats on sale to anyone between now and Feb. It then goes: Bond holders April 2015 Band 1 May to July Band 2 July to October Band 3 October to December Band 4 December to Feb 2016.
The £500+vat joining fee is payable when selecting your seat, I.e. before Feb and £140+vat direct debit starts August 2016.
As I said before it is hardly The Supporters Club

I can just imagine my old mans face if my mum had said "hurry up your lemonade battered plaice goujons are on the table". Especially if she dished them up with skinny fries.

I love the bit in the brochure about being able to buy traditional East End Food from Cafe Cassettari, such as:
Lemonade battered plaice goujons
Don't recall them from my childhood days, do you?

Its sold to existing Season Ticket Holders.
A season ticket in the same area at our stadium is currently £900, rising to £950 next season and rising another amount prior to moving. Nobody can compare the prices until they are released in April.

What's the problem here? If you don't want/can't afford it, don't have it.
Still, anything for the plebs and WHOtards to get wound up about and bitch about the club, I suppose.

I'm pretty chilled about it...in 3 years time I can review whether its worth continuing with (maybe at a different cost) or selecting a new seat elsewhere in the ground.
The disadvantage being that a lot of the better standard seats will have been taken by others.

who does it seem that it's always the people that won't be interested and therefore wont be shelling out for something in the first place that are always the ones that moan about it the loudest? hahaha

It works out at between £100-116 per game. That probably isn't too bad if you are looking for something corporate or if that is your thing. The bit I don't like is the lack of transparency, which is funnily enough one of the things they say they are committed to.

So selling a product and then issuing terms and conditions afterwards and a data protection breach all in one go?
Top drawer administration that.
What's the penalty if you decide to cancel before the end of the 3 years Huffers?

Oh, yeah its 36 consecutive months rather than just the duration of the seasons. I was aware it was consecutive months and starting sooner than the season but I wasn't aware you were tied down to 3 years (I don't mind that) but conversely I didn't realise that after 3 years a renewal fee / member fee would be applied again!
Terms and conditions were kindly sent on by email after the payment was taken over the phone. They also sent me someone else's receipt with their full name, address etc on it!

To make the cost seem lower, and therefore more palatable.
Rocket science, I know.

You start paying in June and the season starts in August, Huffers.
So you're paying for 2 months prior to the season starting. Why?
